There has been a lot of sickness in our room lately and so we thought we would do a little experiment on bacteria and germs. We used fresh bread to collect samples from different areas of the room and our hands.
- 1st piece of bread: touched nothing
- 2nd piece of bread: wiped across our desks
- 3rd piece of bread: wiped across the floor
- 4th piece of bread: wiped across our white board
- 5th piece of bread: wiped on our door handle
- 6th piece of bread: wiped on students’ hands before washing them
- 7th piece of bread: wiped on students’ hands after washing them
As you can see, the most mould has grown on the pieces of bread that touched the floor, the desks and the dirty hands. Hopefully now students will be more mindful of washing their hands, not eating off their desks and not crawling on the floor. Yuck!
